DCC Retrofits and Upgrades
Triology can up-grade your CMM
with a new Renishaw UCC1 Controller and CAPPS software.
Renishaw, the world's leading supplier of probe
systems for coordinate measuring machines has introduced the
Universal CMM Controller (UCC1) that will optimize measurement performance.
The controller is suitable for both original equipment and retrofit
installations. Most retrofits will utilize the original drive system and
scales saving thousands over a complete rebuild. The system can be installed with minimal downtime.
CAPPS software also has the capability of error correction which in most
installations would improve the accuracy of the CMM.
The advantage of the Renishaw
control is that it would be a common stock item
that can be repaired or replaced by any reputable CMM service company or
the manufacturer.
The UCC1 universal CMM
controller:
The Renishaw Universal CMM Controller, UCC1,
optimizes measurement performance, through closer probe integration. The
controller is suitable for both original equipment and retrofit installations.
The controller is available with three levels of operational capability,
ranging from the control of machines operating with conventional touch-trigger
probes, through to reverse engineering/digitizing with analogue probes, and
full high-speed part scanning.
The complete range of Renishaw probe systems is supported; conventional
contact, strain-gauge and laser probe sensors, manual and motorized probe
heads, probe and stylus changers, and the latest developments in servo
positioning systems. Other optical and video sensors can also be supported.
A key benefit of UCC1 is the simple integration of complex probe systems, both
for existing systems and future developments, and is central to Renishaw's
future plans for sensor innovation. Future products will be easily integrated
via plug-in daughter cards, and because the UCC1 control software is
downloaded from the PC each time the system is switched on, software upgrades
for new products are easily integrated.
With ever tighter tolerances, more complex components and increasing pressures
on lead times, the ability to acquire large volumes of measurement data, both
accurately and rapidly, is key to manufacturing competitiveness. The new UCC1
controller offers advanced adaptive scanning, allowing accurate known part
scanning at velocities limited only by the dynamic performance of the CMM.
SPA1
The SPA1 is a 3-channel servo power amplifier with an integral power supply.
When the SPA1 is used with the UCC1 controller and the MCU1 joystick you have
an ideal retrofit package.
MCU1
The MCU1 multi-functional control unit is a portable hand control unit that
can provide complete CMM control. It can be stored in a docking port on the
side of a cabinet or CMM bed when not in use.
Additional card options
There are several additional expansion cards for UCC1 for added capability.

Manual
machine retrofit or upgrade
Triology
can upgrade your manual machine with the latest cutting edge DMIS based
software with an easy plug and play interface to the existing scales and
probing system. Any machine and configuration can be upgraded to this state of
the art software. We offer different levels of software dependant upon our
customers requirements. CAPPS software also has the capability to have error
correction which could improve the accuracy of the CMM to better than
originally supplied specification.
